U.S. Senate Passes Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act: NASEO Summary

Source: RL Martin

Over the past year, NASEO worked on a bipartisan basis to advance an array of energy-related provisions that were included in the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which would –  if passed by the U.S. House and signed by the President – provide billions of dollars to states, local governments, and energy providers to modernize the grid and advance alternative fuel transportation, building efficiency, renewables deployment, manufacturing efficiency, and other important energy actions.  NASEO anticipates that the bill will ultimately pass and be enacted.  As such, we have prepared a summary of provisions of interest to State Energy Offices, and we will hold regional, committee, and other calls to explore the provisions of the bill, answer questions and gain input from the states on next steps.  For more information, please contact David Terry at dterry@naseo.org.
