The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory invite State Energy Offices, public utility commissions, and utility consumer advocates to participate in the last of three regional trainings on integrated distrubtion system planning (content of training is identical for all three trainings). The NASEO-NARUC Training for States on Integrated Distribution System Planning 2.0: Planning for Electrification and Distributed Energy Resources will be held on Wednesday, April 30 - Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. This training will include an optional site visit on the morning of Friday, May 2, 2025 (more details soon).
The training is open to commissioners and staff of all public utility commissions, the directors and staff of State Energy Offices, and state consumer advocates. The training is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Electricity and Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
The training will include technical courses, peer-sharing, office hours with trainers, and a half-day state action planning workshop, covering all new topics with a focus on planning for electrification and distributed energy resources (see below for a list of topics).
