NASEO Electricity Committee Exchange Meeting: State Energy Offices’ Perspectives on Energy Storage

June 28, 2022, 4:00 - 5:00 PM ET

As states look to increase the reliability and resilience of their electric system and integrate additional clean energy, energy storage is a key part of the process. As a result, energy storage is being built into state programming and policies across the country with interest in exploring cost considerations, deployment timelines, and decarbonization opportunities. Considerations also include different storage technologies and areas where long duration storage could be utilized. During this NASEO Electricity Committee Exchange, Dan Burgess, Director, and Caroline Colan, Solar and Storage Fellow, of the Maine Governor’s Office of Energy will share information on Maine’s recently released Energy Storage Market Assessment and some of the key findings. After these remarks, we will open the conversation up to questions and discussion between NASEO members. Please bring your own thoughts, challenges, success stories, and questions about energy storage to this meeting. To register, please click here and email Kelsey Jones ( with any questions.
