On March 12, 2013, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a list of U.S. metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star certified buildings in 2012. The list is headed by Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Chicago, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, and Boston. See the full list of top 25 cities on the EPA's website.
