Hawaii and Okinawa Extend Renewable Energy Collaboration

Hawaii and Okinawa are proposing to extend an existing memorandum to keep collaborating on renewable energy development projects through June 2020, the state's energy office recently reported.

The Hawaii-Okinawa of Cooperation for Clean and Efficient Energy Development and Deployment was established in June 2010 to expand upon existing activities in technology research and development.

The extended memorandum will focus on advancement and market development of emerging and innovative technologies in the field of clean energy.
