Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Holds Blackstart Hearing

On October 11, the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources held a hearing to examine blackstart, the process for returning energy to the power grid after a system-wide blackout. The witness panel included experts from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Utilities Technology Council, North American Transmission Forum, PJM Interconnection, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
