DOE Welcomes New Assistant Secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response

Last week, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette swore in Karen S. Evans as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER). Prior to her nomination by President Trump to lead the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) cyber efforts, Evans served as the National Director of the U.S. Cyber Challenge, a top Information Technology (IT) official at the Office of Management and Budget, and DOE’s Chief Information Officer.
