Washington, D.C. Completes First Affordable Housing Energy Efficiency Project Using PACE

The Washington, D.C. District Department of the Environment has announced the completion of the country’s first affordable housing energy efficiency project to use Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing. The $340,000 project in southeast D.C. included lighting, low flow water fixtures, and a 37-kilowatt solar array, and is expected to result in over $40,000 in annual savings and tax credits.
