On July 6, 2022, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) opened the application period for States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and Indian Tribes to apply for formula grants designed to prevent outages and enhance the resilience of the electric grid. The formula grant program is authorized via Section 40101(d) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and will provide $459 million annually over a five-year period. In this webinar, DOE and National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) staff will provide information on the application process, pre-application requirements, and required application documents, as well as answer any questions on the application process.
