NASEO’s Board of Directors recently adopted a resolution recognizing the role of State and Territory Energy Offices (SEOs) in energy system resilience, cyber and physical security, and statewide energy planning. The resolution reaffirmed NASEO’s efforts to encourage multi-state cooperation and coordination and support increased long-term public and private sector planning to ensure a resilient energy system and modernize the nation’s infrastructure. Finally, the resolution encourages public and private sector officials to commit resources to maintain capabilities to respond to energy emergencies.
