NASEO Hosts State-Local Energy Policy, Planning, and Infrastructure Roundtable

On July 19, NASEO and E4TheFuture hosted the State-Local Energy Policy, Planning, and Infrastructure Roundtable, a full-day event which included State Energy Officials, local government energy and sustainability leaders, private sector companies, and federal government representatives.  The event cultivated relationships and partnerships among state and local energy policy makers and program leads, and it showcased best practices and partnership models to promote state-local collaboration on shared energy challenges and priorities, and identify means for collaboration with private sector partners. Topics discussed during the Roundtable covered building energy efficiency, energy security and resilience, and transportation energy use and planning.

The Roundtable marked the launch of NASEO’s State-Local Initiative, which will engage state and local government energy agencies for webinars, discussions, peer-to-peer assistance, and meetings on common energy priorities and interests.
